AUBURN — East Auburn improved its record to 4-1 with a 15-3 victory over Pepsi in Auburn Suburban Major Baseball.
Ben Cassidy picked up the win on the mound for East Auburn. Jahvon Coney went 3 for 3 with a double to lead East Auburn offensively. Giles Paradie went 3 for 4 with a triple and Mason Aube contributed two hits to the winning effort.
Jaelen Coney (triple), Chris Frey (triple), Ben Cassidy and Will Cassidy also had hits for East Auburn. Frey, Aube and Cameron Langis also pitched will for the winners.
Dylan Sellinger, Tyler Jalbert, Kevin St. Pierre and Alec Beaudin each had hits for Pepsi.
Gifford’s rallies past Fire
AUBURN — Auburn Firefighters entered the top of the sixth inning enjoying a 5-1 lead, only to see Gifford’s Ice Cream score four runs to send the game into extra innings.
There, Gifford’s continued its onslaught, putting four more across en route to a 9-5 win.
In the crucial sixth, timely hitting and discipline at the plate loaded the bases for Luke Josephson to smack a two run single to tie the game.
Gifford’s got a lead-off triple from Austin Brown in the top of the seventh. Brown was immediately plated on a sharp single by Dominic Priola, which opened the door to three more runs.
The Firefighters smacked six hits and were led by Christian Beliveau, who had a single and a double, and Marius Morneau, who had a double and triple. Gifford’s got a strong start from Cameron Sturgis, who struck out four, and was relieved by Brown, who fanned six to earn the win.
Dental holds off 99 in Auburn Babe Ruth
AUBURN — Mount Auburn Dental withstood two 99 Restaurant combacks to hold onto a 9-6 Auburn Suburban Babe Ruth win.
M.A.D. banged out 14 hits, led by Drew Lashua, who was 4 for 4, as well as Tyler Blanchard and Kyle Edwards, who each collected three hits.
Llewelyn Jensen led 99 with three hits. Sharing pitching duties for M.A.D. were Blanchard, Kyle Romero and Lashua. Caleb Hebert threw four strong innings for the restauranters. Defensively Jean-David Hurd for M.A.D. and Jarod Norcross-Plourde for 99 shined in the field.
