LEWISTON — John K. Crosby, 59, a resident of Lewiston, formerly of Rutland, Vt., died peacefully at his home Saturday, May 11, with his loving family by his side following a long illness.

He was born in Rutland, Vt., Sept. 1, 1953, the son of Kenneth R. and Elizabeth M. (King) Crosby.

John grew up in Rutland, Vt., and was a graduate of Mt. St. Joseph’s Academy in Rutland.

He relocated to Lewiston in 1996, and was employed with Poland Spring Bottling.

He was a member of the Elks Club of Lewiston and an officer with the Webber Avenue Club. He was an avid sports fan who’s favorite teams were the New England Patriots, and the New York Yankees, and was also an avid golfer. John was the master chef at his house and the entertainer at home which he loved and sharing those good times with family and friends.

John was also an avid gardener and loved hanging plants, and in honor of John, the family would welcome hanging plants as floral tributes at the funeral home.

Survivors include his wife, Karen Gray, formerly of Rutland, Vt., whom he married April 23, 1989 of Lewiston; one son, Toban Crosby and one daughter, Kayla Crosby, both of Rutland, Vt.; one sister, Diana del Giudice and her husband, Bill, of Pawlet, Vt.; several nieces and nephews; and his former wife, Sharon Crosby of Rutland, Vt.
