A 16-foot Lund with a 40 horsepower motor and 14-foot open boat with an 8 horsepower motor collided on the lake, according to Cpl. John MacDonald, spokesman for the Maine Warden Service. Only one person was believed to be on board the 14-foot boat. He was ejected and could not be found. No identification was available.
MacDonald says game wardens, divers and an aircraft will be used Thursday in the search for the missing boater. The two men in the Lund boat are safe, according to MacDonald. Their names are not available.
