RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial Honoring the life of Aurora “Ora” Brown was celebrated on Thursday at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Alfred Jacques was the celebrant. Bernard Poirier was the altar server. Nick Puiia was organist. Prior to the Mass music was, “Wind Beneath My Wings” sung by granddaughter Melissa Violette. Opening hymn was “Amazing Grace” sung by grandson Ehren Brown. Offertory hymn was “You Raise Me Up” sung by Ehren Brown. Communion hymn was “Ave Maria” sung by granddaughter Melissa Violette. The recessional hymn was “J’irai la voir un jour” sung by grandson Ehren Brown. The Old Testament was proclaimed by granddaughter Kristen Stogsdill. The New Testament was proclaimed by daughter-in-law Cheryl Brown. Offertory gifts were presented by granddaughters Kristen Stogsdill, Jennifer Violette and Carrie Brown. Personal reflections were shared by son Dennis Brown. Interment was in St. John Cemetery with committal prayers offered by Fr. Jacques. A poem was read by daughter Patricia Stogsdill. Pallbearers were Matthew Stogsdill, Scott Violette, Keith Violette and Carrie Brown. Honorary bearers were Jennifer Violette and Kristen Stogsdill. A reception served by the Daughters of Isabella was in the parish hall. Services were under the care and guidance of SG Thibault Funeral Home.
