WALES — Chad Snowman hit a two-run double and drove in three runs and relief pitcher Tyler Frost shut down Oak Hill as the Cougars (10-2) waltzed off with a 14-1 victory in a baseball game Thursday.
Frost got the win and struck out four batters after stepping in for Spencer Trenoweth who came out in the fifth inning.
Dirigo was leading 5-1 after two inning before the Cougars erupted with eight runs in the seventh inning. Hunter Ross had three hits, including a double and two RBIs. T.J. Frost and Brett Whittemore each had two hits.
For Oak Hill, Parker Asselin singled and scored the lone run.
Poland 8, OOB 7
OLD ORCHARD BEACH —Poland rallied from deficits of 3-0 and 6-5 to defeat Old Orchard Beach, 8-7, in WMC baseball action.
C.J. Martin had two hits and Jake Simard, Kaleb Bridham and Louis Johnson two apiece to lead the Knights (6-6). Ethan Callier picked up the victory in relief for Poland.
Oak Hill 9, Dirigo  0
WALES — Winning pitcher Kortni Michaud threw a two-hitter and went 3-for-4, tripled and drove in a run as Oak Hill blanked Dirigo, 9-0, in a softball game Thursday.
The Raiders (9-2) erupted with eight runs in the fifth inning.
Catcher Brooke LeBel drove in two runs with her two hits and Kelsey Collins hammered out a triple, double and single and drove in two runs.
For Dirigo (8-3), catcher Tasha Deroche doubled.
Girls’ lacrosse
Edward Little 15, Camden Hills 13
AUBURN — Taylor Landry and Shelbea Russel each scored three goals as Edward Little staved off Camden Hills in the second half to beat the Windjammers, 15-13, in  a girls’ lacrosse game Thursday.
Camden Hills (5-3) scored eight goals, but the Red Eddies’ 10-goal outburst in the first half gave them some leeway.
Allarie Lever, Kate Sawyer, Hannah Johnston and Kara Tancrel each scored a pair of goals for EL (4-5). Megan Coddington scored one goal and earned an assist.
For the Windjammers, Alice Flint punched in seven goals. EL goalie Julia Langevin made 12 saves to earn the win.
