MINOT — Roland B. DeBlois, 71, of Lewiston, died Wednesday, May 8, suddenly after a brief illness.
He was born in Lewiston, Jan. 14, 1942, the son of the late Eddie and Marie (Turcotte) DeBlois. He attended Lewiston schools and was a graduate of Lewiston High School, Class of 1960. Roland was known to be kind, trustworthy and honest. He was a self-employed maintenance and handyman, who had a very loyal clientele which he served for more than 40 years.
He enjoyed ice-skating and was an avid hockey enthusiast.
He is survived by his longtime companion, June Willard Michaud, with whom he made his home; one sister, Suzanne DeBlois of Lewiston; two stepchildren, Jacqueline Bechard and her husband, James, of Sabattus and Roger Michaud of Lewiston; five stepgrandchildren, Dorothy Bechard of Lewiston, Tiffany Bechard of Sabattus, Michael Bechard of Sabattus, Olivia Wilson of North Carolina, and Heather Lynn Michaud of Lewiston.
