LIVERMORE FALLS — The Tri-Town Seniors met May 13 at Murray Hall with 25 members present. Following the opening ceremonies George Doiron and the group sang “Happy Birthday” to all who will be celebrating birthdays in June and July. Doiron also sang “M-O-T-H-E-R” in observance of Mother’s Day.

A nomination of officers was held for two open positions, Jacquie Mercier for secretary and Joyce Richards as assistant treasurer. A final vote will be at the next meeting.

President Fernande Doiron announced that the burial ceremony for Clemence Moreau was planned for May 17 at 2 p.m. The burial ceremony for Kay Larochelle will be held at 3:30 p.m. May 29. Both will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery.

The last meeting of the season until September will be held at Murray Hall at noon Monday, May 20, and it will be a picnic. Hamburgers, hot dogs, salads, dessert and all the fixings will be served. Louise Parker will provide entertainment at the picnic and all are encouraged to come dressed for the occasion.

Sept. 9 will begin the new season and a potluck meal will be served at noon. Members will be contacted in August as a reminder.

Fern encouraged the members present to work this summer to get new members to begin the new season in the fall.

The 50/50 was won by Janet Wright. A successful Chinese auction was held following the meeting. Refreshments supplied by Donna Cook and Georgia Hersey were served. Cards and games were then played for the rest of the afternoon.
