LEWISTON — Marion L. Toncer, 88, a resident of Lewiston, formerly of Livermore Falls, passed away peacefully Friday, May 17, at d’Youville Pavilion.

She was born May 22, 1924, in Livermore, the daughter of Andrew Toncer and Anna (Semancik) Toncer. Marion was a 1944 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. She worked as an accounts payable clerk for many years at Bates Manufacturing in Lewiston.

Marion was a communicant of St. Patrick’s in Lewiston. In her younger years, Marion enjoyed going to dances, cross country skiing, going to Old Orchard, traveling and spending time in Florida; she especially loved time shared with her family.

She is survived by her twin sister, Elizabeth Toncer of Lewiston; nieces Ann Constantine of York, Vicki Wright and her husband, Olin, of Pensacola, Fla., Joy Toncer and her husband, John Lord, of Lisbon Falls and Jayne Toncer and fiancé, Rodney Therrien, of Jay; nephews, Thomas Constantine and his wife, Kathy, of Auburn and Peter Richards and his wife, Patti, of Canton; eight great-nieces; and two great-great-nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Joseph Toncer, Margaret Wilson, Dolly Richards and Ann Constantine.
