AUBURN —   Napa Auto Parts won their second game in a row by defeating Center St Dental 20-5 by mercy rule in five innings at Pettingill Park.  Napa’s offense was led by Joey Sullivan 4-for-4 with three runs scored, a double and four rbi. Terry Goguen and Matt Mocciola each went 3-for-3. Kevin Pontbriand, Craig Turcotte, Denney Philippon and Wayne Usher all  had three hits.

East Auburn 4, Gifford’s 3

AUBURN —   East Auburn won a hard fought battle for first place against Gifford’s 4-3 in Auburn Suburban Little League Major Baseball.  East Auburn benefitted from the strong pitching of Ben Cassidy, who yielded only one hit and two walks in FIVE innings of shutout ball.  Cassidy also struck out 13 batters.  Giles Paradie pitched the sixth inning in relief of Cassidy, striking out two hitters with the tying run on second base.  Cassidy and Paradie also led East Auburn offensively with two hits apiece.  Ethan Brown tossed 2 and 2/3 strong innings in relief for Gifford’s, giving up only one hit and striking out seven of the ten batters he faced. Brown also led Gifford’s on offense, going 2-for-3.

Heutz Oil 9, United Ambulance 3

LEWISTON —   Cassidie Wright went 4-for-4 driving in four runs in Heutz Oil’s 9-3 victory over United Ambulance Saturday. Skylar Gelinas had three hits and picked up an rbi. Emily Strachan and Isabelle Webster also picked up a hit in the victory. United Ambulance’s offense was sparked by Isabelle Dube who went 4-for-4 while Daelyn Sargeant, Olivia Lampron, and Katie Lasie had two hits.
