1936 – 2013
LEWISTON — Nelda M. Neil, 76, of Wilton, passed away Wednesday, May 22, at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston.
She was born in 1936, the daughter of Donald and Felice Williams. She attended Wilton schools. On Dec. 25, 1953 she married Roland Neil.
Nelda worked at local shoe shops until becoming a homemaker when her first child was born. She worked at Seniors Plus for a few years, enjoying her time there as a kitchen aide. Nelda’s biggest joy in life was her children and grandchildren, and she participated in every aspect of their lives that she could.
Nelda is survived by her son, Darrell Neil and his wife, Shelley, of Arizona; her two daughters, Sharon Neil of Wilton, and Stephanie Lewis and her husband, Raymond, of Wilton; 12 grandchildren, Jared, Joshua, Sarah, Douglas F., Miranda, Randall, Christine, Raymond, Douglas H., Craig, Brandy, and Kelly; two brothers, Wallace Williams and his wife, Gertrude, and Maynard Williams and his wife, June, all of Jay; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
She was predeceased by her husband Roland; her parents; and her brother, Robert Greenleaf.
