FRYEBURG — International speaker Ginny Luedeman will give two fireside chats, at 5 and 6 p.m. Friday, June, 7, in the Christian Science Reading Room, 595 Main St. Her topic will be “The Invisible Reality of Life Appearing.”

Luedeman said, “Christ Jesus’ life revealed a law of God that heals and restores lives. Scientific prayer as Jesus demonstrated is a powerful law of adjustment that brings to light the kingdom of heaven. Mary Baker Eddy’s life and works demonstrated that same law. Her primary work, ‘Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures,’ explains how we can practice the divine Law of healing today.”

Luedeman is a teacher of Christian Science and she has been in the public healing practice for more than 35 years.

In her talk she will reference the original source book on Christian healing, the Bible, along with “Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures.” She will share experiences that show how careful, deep prayerful listening brings reality to light. The prayer is a means of conquering fear and brings a sense of empowerment for dealing with daily challenges.

Luedeman is a resident of Salem, Ore. She was a hard rock singer in the ’60s with a group called the Morning Glory. She played in concert with Janice Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, the Rolling Stones and the Grateful Dead. An LSD overdose brought her to study the ideas in the Bible.

Luedeman has been married to a retired Army chaplain for more than 44 years and has six children and 16 grandchildren. She is a member of the Christian Science Board of Lectureship, traveling internationally. She tells stories about the power of prayer in every day lives.
