GRAY — About 80 voters in Gray and New Gloucester approved a $22.29 million budget for SAD 15 during a meeting Thursday at Gray-New Gloucester High School.
The budget, which is a more than $1.14 million increase over this year’s, will go to a referendum June 11 in both towns.
Moderator James Giffune of New Gloucester said voters asked questions to clarify articles related to charter school tuition and Maine State Retirement costs that may be passed to school districts by the state. These two items represent an additional $495,000 in the $22,299,572 budget which covers the fiscal year July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2014.
This fisal year budget for 2012-13 was $21,151,976.
