BETHEL — Bethel Green-Up Day, sponsored by the Bethel Chamber of Commerce and the Bethel Conservation Committee, is rescheduled to Saturday, June 1.

From 9:30 a.m. to noon in Davis Park, members of the chamber, Conservation Committee, Rotary Interact Club from Telstar Regional High School and other volunteers will clean up trash in the area.

Jessie Seymour Perkins of the chamber said the date was moved from May 25 due to inclement weather.

The public is invited to participate, Seymour Perkins said, by picking a spot near Davis Park to begin gathering trash. Bagged trash will be brought to a transfer station by volunteers.

Free cookies will be available for those who attend the cleanup. She also suggested that volunteers bring gloves and sturdy shoes.
