AUBURN — Madeline H. Cunningham, 86, of Rumford, passed away on May 27, at the Hospice House.

She was born April 30, 1927, in Rumford, to parents Jennie and Clarence “Stubby” Haines.

Madeline enjoyed arts and crafts. She was a rug braider, knitter and seamstress and also a woodworker. She was also a great homemaker and loving mother and wife.

Madeline had worked as a dental office manager for Dr. Swallow.

Madeline is survived by three sons, Arthur W. Cunningham and wife, Sharon, Gregory A. Cunningham and wife, Jane and Scott E. Cunningham and his partner, Douglas Leach; six grandchildren; her beloved brother, Eugene; her beloved sister-in-law, Evelyn Haines; 14 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and her special friend, Debbie Mayo.

She was predeceased by her husband of 65 years, Arthur J. Cunningham.
