HARRISON— The Harrison Parks & Recreation Department is holding sign-ups for a trip to Boothbay Harbor and Cabbage Island on Monday, Aug. 12.

The cost of $80, or $73 for Harrison residents, includes coach bus, boat and meal. A $30 deposit is due at sign-up and is non-refundable after Aug. 5. The balance is due Friday, Aug. 9.

Seating is limited so early sign up is recommended.

The itinerary is as follows: Custom Coach & Limo will leave the Harrison Town Office parking lot at 8 a.m. for Boothbay Harbor, arriving at 10:30 a.m. There will be time to enjoy the shops, galleries and specialty stores until noon, when travelers must be at the pier for boarding the Bennie Alice for a scenic tour of the harbor.

At 12:30 p.m. the Boothbay Harbor & Lighthouse Tour on the Bennie Alice will begin. The boat will arrive at 1:30 on Cabbage Island in Linekin Bay, where an authentic Downeast Clambake will await. The meal will feature New England fish chowder, two lobsters, white steamed clams, corn on the cob, onion, new Maine potatoes and Cabbage Island’s famous blueberry cake with coffee or iced tea. Chicken is available upon request.

The group will leave Cabbage Island at 4 p.m. and will arrive in Harrison at 7.
