JAY — A local man is accused of giving two 15-year-old boys marijuana.

James Ouellette, 45, of Jay, was arrested Wednesday night on a felony charge of aggravated furnishing of scheduled drugs, Jay police Detective Richard Caton IV said Thursday.

Ouellette was also issued a summons on a misdemeanor charge of endangering a child, he said.

According to Caton, parents contacted police when they became aware of what was going on.

Officer Russell Adams and Caton interviewed some witnesses in the case and arrested Ouellette, he said.

The furnishing charge is aggravated because of the boys’ age, he added.

It was a usable amount of marijuana.

Ouellette posted $150 cash bail and was released Wednesday night from the Franklin County jail in Farmington.
