The Pink Feather Foundation will be holding the second annual “One Summer’s Day” event on Saturday June 29. The money raised through this event will be donated to another family facing hard times such as the Emerys. Please click on our “nominate your family page” if you or someone you know could use a helping had through hard times.
One Summer’s Day was created in 2012. It was a day-long fundraiser to help support 15-year-old Summer Emery through her brave journey to remission. We are pleased to announce that Summer is CANCER FREE!!!
A one-pitch softball tournament will feature Poland taking on Mechanic Falls, with the championship game at 5 p.m. in Mechanic Falls. There will also be a 7 a.m. Breakfast at Poland High School Fields by Boghooters ATV Club. From noon to 5 p.m., there will be Vendor Shopping behind Mechanic Falls town office. A community barbecue will be held at 4 p.m. and served by Tyrian Lodge 73 behind Mechanic Falls Town Office. For more information, go to www.pinkfeatherfoundation.com.
