MINOT — West Minot Grange No. 42 had Committee for Women’s Activities night on June 6. The evening began with a baked chicken supper. CWA chairman Connie Benwitz ran a fill-in-the-blank contest titled “Grandmother’s Garden.” The two winners only missed one word each.
Kevin Farr of Oxford presented an interesting show-and-tell on bee keeping, including a frame of live bees.
The meeting was opened in form by guest officers from the Hollis, Minot Center, Excelsior, Danville Junction, Highland Lake and West Minot granges. Norma Meserve conducted the meeting as the master.
CWA committee members are Connie Benwitz, Gail Trundy and Carolyn Gauthier. Hester Gilpatric and his crew prepared the supper.
A strawberry festival will take place from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday, June 30, at the grange.
