GREENE — David C. Bouchard, 68, of Greene, passed away at his home on Wednesday, July 3, following a short illness, with his wife by his side.

He was born July 17, 1944, in Waterville, a son of Marguerite (Boudreau) Bouchard and the late John Bouchard. He attended school in the Fairfield area before joining the U.S. Marine Corps serving his country in the 1960s.

On Nov. 12, 1966, he married the love of his life, Suzanne Berube of Lewiston. They resided in Connecticut for 13 years, where he worked in the sheet metal industry with local 40 out of Hartford. He also worked at General Dynamics/Electric Boat Division in Groton as a supervisor and OJT instructor. He also taught at Norwich Regional Tech. School as a substitute.

In 1979, the family returned to Maine and he built their home in Greene and worked in his trade, a member of Union 17, retiring in 2010.

He was a former member and president of The Full Gospel Businessmen International, Lewiston Chapter. He was currently a member of The First Assembly of God Church on Hogan Road in Lewiston. He was an individual who loved sharing his faith with others. A simple man by nature, David was at peace when working in his shop and enjoying God’s Creation in his rural backyard and pond.

David is survived by his wife of 46-plus years, Suzanne Bouchard of Greene; two daughters, Jacintha Russo of Auburn and Cherie Dumont of Windham; his mother, Marguerite Bouchard of Waterville; four grandchildren, Theresa and Susan Ames and Casey and Emilie Dumont; two great-grandchildren, Aleasiah and Manuel; three brothers, John Bouchard and wife, Jean, of Winslow, Reginald Bouchard of Skowhegan and Leo Bouchard and wife, Linda, of Oakland; a sister, Lucille Beaulieu of Waterville; a sister-in-law, Marjorie; and many nephews and nieces.

He was predeceased by his father, John Bouchard; a brother, Francis Bouchard; and sister-in-law, Sandra Bouchard.
