RUMFORD — Ethan and Emily Gilbert are pleased to announce the marriage of their mother, Amanda Lee Gilbert (Richard) to their step-dad, Michael Paul Pelletier, both of Rumford.

The bride is the daughter of Dan Richard of Rumford and Bonnie Mullinax of Anniston, Ala. She is a 2003 honors graduate from Walter Wellborn High School in Anniston, Ala., and a 2010 graduate of Andover College with an associate degree in medical assisting. The bride is employed by Franklin Memorial Health Network.

The bridegroom is the son of Paul Pelletier of Rumford and Jackie Pelletier of Peru. He is a 2006 graduate of Mountain Valley High School and is employed at C.N. Brown Company.

The wedding took place on Friday, May 24, at 49 Franklin in Rumford, with several of the couple’s closest friends and family. The wedding party included the best friend of the bride, Niki Darville of Litchfield as maid of honor, sister of the bridegroom, Ashley Thibeault of Roxbury, mother of the bride, Bonnie Mullinax of Anniston, Ala., and step-mother of the bride, Rosemarie Brann of Dixfield; father of the bridegroom, Paul Pelletier of Rumford, as best man, brother-in-law, Chris Thibeault of Roxbury, and brother of the bride, Joel Richard of Greene. Emily Gilbert, daughter of the bride, was flower girl with her best friend, Haileigh Whitman by her side as honorary flower girl. The bride was escorted down the aisle and was given away by her son, Ethan Gilbert.

The wedding colors were lime green and watermelon, with floral arrangements of pink roses and green carnations.

The couple will reside in the home they purchased last year in Rumford with the children of the bride, the family dog and the family cats.
