POLAND SPRING — The Poland Spring Preservation Society has announced that Castlebay will perform at their summer concert series at 7 p.m. Monday, July 15.

Castlebay hails from Round Pond and consists of Julia Lane and Fred Gosbee. Castlebay performs and promotes the rich music of Maine and the Celtic lands. Their concerts feature poignant ballads sung in Lane’s ethereal soprano and Gosbee’s rich baritone interspersed with joyous dance tunes played on Celtic harp, guitar, fiddle and tin whistle.

All proceeds benefit the preservation and restoration of the Maine State Building and All Souls Chapel, both of which are listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. Proceeds also help to fund the nonprofit’s educational programs. Tickets are $7.50 at the door and include refreshments.

The summer concert series is hosted every Monday through August 26. For more information, call 207-998-4142 or visit www.polandspringps.org.
