HOWARD — Candace Louise (Smith), 62, died June 30. At her request, there will be no services; she wanted a big get-together, so relatives and friends are invited to attend that get-together from 1 to 4 p.m. July 27  at the home of her daughter, Lorie White, 38 Andrews Road, Albany Township. In lieu of flowers, please bring a favorite childhood book to the gathering or donate a book to an organization, as Candace always wanted to encourage children to read and believed it is a very important start in the life of learning.

JOHNSON — Mary T., 87, died July 1 in Gorham. Services will be private.
