FARMINGTON — Rustic Roots Farm will be the location for this month’s Franklin County Chamber of Commerce Business After Hours.
It will be held rain or shine from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 18, at the farm at 120 Vipah Lane, Farmington.
Rustic Roots Farm is headed up by Erica Emery, a Farmington native who has been farming in the Boston area for the past two years on an organic vegetable and berry farm. The farm land is owned by Emery’s parents, Janice and Bill Crandall, who have used the farm in the past for vegetable enterprises such as corn, wheat and pumpkins.
Chamber members, as well as the general public, are invited to tour the farm, take a field walk to learn how the organic growing process works, learn about community supported agriculture, and the farm’s goals for the future.
