PARIS — SeniorsPlus announces plans to host a focus group in Oxford County from 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 24, at the Veterans’ Home in South Paris, to discuss aging services in rural Maine. This is one of two focus groups the agency plans to hold in order to assess the needs of “younger older” adults in the rural areas of Oxford and Franklin counties.

“We are looking for adults between the ages of 55 and 70 to join a conversation about aging services — specifically issues around planning ahead and accessing services in rural Maine,” said Connie Jones, director of community services for SeniorsPlus.

If you are a resident living in Oxford County and are interested in joining this discussion, contact SeniorsPlus at 1-800-427-1241 and let the administrative assistant know that you would like to sign up for the Oxford County focus group. Refreshments will be served, and as a thank you for participants’ time, a $25 gas or groceries gift certificates will be given.
