CONCORD, N.H. — The Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Retired Activities Office has announced a program for retired military veterans and/or their loved ones to be held from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, at the NHNG Army Aviation Support Facility, 26 Regional Drive.

This event is entirely focused on the needs of military retirees, their families or survivors and is an opportunity to take care of all benefit-related business in one stop on one day.

A photo ID is a good item to have in your possession.

All retired military and families as well as survivors of deceased military are invited and encouraged to attend this annual Northern New England Military Retiree Activity day.

Legal assistance (wills, powers of attorney, etc.), veterans homes, VA benefits and cemeteries, DEERS/ID card renewals, health care information and briefings, survivor benefits, commissaries, exchanges, recreation opportunities and more will be available.

All activities are indoors.

The event is free except for a low-cost lunch and is sponsored by the New Hampshire National Guard in cooperation with Maine and Vermont National Guard, the Retired Activities Offices at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and Fort Drum and the Northern New England Army Retiree Councils.
