TURNER — Zak Johnson baffled Andy Valley hitters, limiting them to two hits and two walks as Tri-Town blanked Andy Valley, 2-0, in Zone 3 American Legion baseball action on Wednesday.
Johnson fanned six in his complete-game effort to outduel Andy Valley’s Quinn Fogarty, who also went the distance and took the loss despite allowing just two runs while striking out six and issuing three free passes.
Sam Bridgham and Shawn Murphy had two hits apiece to lead Tri-Town (5-12). Murphy’s RBI single in the first inning gave Tri-Town the only run it would need. It added an insurance run in the seventh on Ethan Callier’s sacrifice fly.
