GREEN VALLEY, Ariz. — Alfred B. Dunn, 70, of Brewer and formerly of Canton and Turner, died in Arizona, Dec. 30, 2012.

He was born in Lewiston, Jan. 1, 1942, the oldest son of Kathryn and Alfred B. Dunn Sr. He attended school in Turner and graduated from Leavitt Institute in Turner in 1961. After graduation, he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and was stationed in Minneapolis, Minn., for a time and met his wife Karen Kelly, whom he married in 1964 and lived in Maine and Minnesota during his married life.

Alfred had worked as an electrician, farmer, construction worker and started Dunn Construction. After Karen died, he met and fell in love with Linda Hansen and enjoyed life with her in Brewer and Green Valley, Ariz.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, hiking, rock-hounding, snowmobiling, off-road driving, traveling the country, playing cards and Mexican train and enjoying the company of his friends and family. He will be missed by all, especially for his sense of humor, his laugh and how he reached out to those around him.

He is survived by his loving partner, Linda Hansen of Green Valley, Ariz.; siblings, Althea Gould of San Francisco, Calif., Patricia Hunt and partner, Ross Dulac, of Turner, Arthur Dunn and his wife, Diane, of Andover, Minn., Charles Dunn and his wife, Valerie, of Greene, John Dunn and his wife, Diane, of Turner, George Dunn and his wife, Betsy, of Buckfield, Margaret Baker and her husband, Emerson, of York and David Dunn and his wife, Joan, of Oxford; numerous brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law in Minnesota; nieces and nephews in Maine and Minnesota; and children, Kelly Fogle and her husband, Mark, of Boy River, Minn., Kathleen Morin and her husband, Mark, of Ellsworth, Kenneth Dunn and his wife, Jennifer, of Eden, N.C., and Kurt Dunn and wife, Alicia, of Farmingdale.

Alfred was predeceased by his parents; step father, Edward Dunn; his wife, Karen (Kelly) Dunn; and a niece, Allyson Dunn.
