A year ago the Worship Committee at St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in Auburn decided to create a series of seasonal banners for the sanctuary walls. The banners were designed to beautify the worship space and also to represent the essential concepts of each season. The banner for the current season is displayed in the front of the church with each season hung around the space in order. As the season changes, the banners are rotated. Pictured is the banner for Pentecost. It represents the gifts of the Holy Spirit, which were visited on the disciples on the day of Pentecost. The members of the Worship Committee who designed and created the banners are Melanie Lee, Melissa Sparks, Susan Trask and Sheryl Whitmore.
