NORWAY — The Western Foothills Land Trust will lead a kayak and canoe tour of the swamp, bog and fen habitat at Witt Swamp from 10 a.m. to noon Saturday, Aug. 3.
Organizers say this time of year the carnivorous plants, pitcher plants and sundews are particularly enjoyable to observe. Participants should bring their own kayaks or canoes and meet at the boat landing along the causeway on Crockett Ridge Road at 10 a.m. Personal floatation devices, sunscreen and hats are advised.
The rain date is Sunday, Aug. 4.
