WALES — The Eastern Star Training and Religious Scholarship fundraising supper will be held Tuesday, Aug. 13, at Lakeside Chapter 60, Order of the Eastern Star. It will be at the Grange/Masonic Hall, 322 Centre Road, at 6 p.m. sharp.

Lakeside will be hostess and provide the main dish for the supper. Pioneer Chapter of Lisbon Falls will bring the salads and Pine Cone Chapter of Auburn will bring desserts. The supper donation will be $3 and the proceeds will be split between the three chapters for their ESTARL donation.

Lakeside will be honoring the Station of Esther at their 7 p.m. meeting.

The district’s “Travelling Teapot,” a symbol of hospitality, left Lakeside last month and has visited Golden Sheaf in New Gloucester and Casco Chapter in Freeport. Its next stop is Electa in Bowdoinham.

This year the District Deputy Grand Matrons of Maine are collecting donations in the minimum amount of $5 for Life Flight of Maine and the Children’s Cancer Center of Maine, two of the charities of the worthy grand matron and worthy grand patron. Donors will be rewarded with an oval pin emblazoned with “Faith, Family and Friends,” an eagle and a teapot that they can wear proudly.

Ladies are asked to wear colored gowns, gentlemen either tuxes or dark suits. For information call the secretary at 375-2698.
