WALES — RSU 4 school board formally adopted a 2013-14 budget proposal Wednesday night to send to voters.

The new amount, $17,625,741, reflects a difference to the tax base of $84,000 less than the budget turned down last month, Superintendent Jim Hodgkin said.

The new budget cut $60,000 for elementary iPads and $9,000 for technology supplies and relies on $15,000 in new revenue from activity fees in the middle school and high school.

It will have a vote in a public forum Aug. 21 and then head to referendums in Litchfield, Sabattus and Wales on Aug. 27.
