Twenty-six children have been learning, playing and recording rock ‘n’ roll music during the two-week camp. Fairview Elementary music teacher Brian Gagnon has come back each year since 2007, despite the challenge of a 26-piece rock band. “Pretend you are a statue on display at the museum of rock and roll children,” Gagnon instructed his students during a quick lesson on stage presence. The all-camp band, The Incident, will perform from noon to 1 p.m. during the Great Falls Balloon Festival Aug. 17 in Auburn. Shaw, 12, lives in Auburn. Raby, 11, lives in Auburn; Mitchell, 13, in Poland; and Hemond, 11, in Minot.

Money raised from the sale of CDs and shirts support a scholarship fund for next year’s camp. Seven children received scholarships to this year’s Camp of Rock.
