NEW SHARON — A Franklin County deputy is investigating a case of vehicle parts stolen from an auto body shop on Farmington Falls Road.
The owner of the shop told Cpl. Chris Chase on Wednesday that a driver’s side front and rear doors, front bumper cover and tailgate were stolen from a 2005 dodge pickup, Sheriff Scott Nichols Sr. said Thursday.
The stolen items belong to a Farmington man, who also owns a dealership on Farmington Falls Road in Farmington, he said.
Chase believes the thief or thieves specifically targeted the parts because valuable tools in the shop were not touched, he said.
The items were discovered missing at about 8:30 a.m. Wednesday and were last seen 24 hours before, Nichols said.
These items are unique and can only be used on Dodge pickup trucks from 2002 to 2005, he said.
Anyone with information regarding the theft is asked to contact the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department at 778-2680 and ask to speak with Cpl. Chris Chase.
