FARMINGTON — TD Bank is consolidating its two banking facilities in Farmington as of Nov. 16.

The branch at 670 Wilton Road will move into the downtown bank at 163 Broadway, approximately three miles away, said Lauren Moyer, media relations associate for TD Bank from Mt. Laurel, N.J.

The Wilton Road branch employees, fewer than 10, will be considered for other positions throughout the bank, she said. They will also be considered for any openings that become available between now and the branch’s closing, she added.

“Customers will continue to do their banking just as they do today, but at a different location with features that provide a more consistent customer experience,” Moyer said in an email.

No decision has been made about the future of the Wilton Road site, she added.

The site has been used as a branch office by several banks over the years, an employee at Bouffards Furniture, next to the branch, said.

A number of factors were considered in making the difficult decision to consolidate, Moyer said.

“This change will allow us to focus on delivering legendary service to our combined customer base in a prime location,” she said.

TD Bank customers have enhanced online and mobile banking services, live support 24/hours a day and 365 days a year, she said. The bank also maintains a large network of ATMs for customer convenience.
