NORTH YARMOUTH — The landmark Westcustogo Grange Hall burned to the ground overnight Thursday and Friday morning in a blaze that reportedly drew firefighters from five departments.
The fire was reported at 11:55 p.m. Thursday, and firefighters were still at the scene at 7:30 a.m. Friday, according to a dispatcher at the Falmouth Communications Center, which dispatches for North Yarmouth.
The grange hall, which is located at 475 Walnut Hill Road, was used by local nonprofit groups and frequently hosted weddings and dance festivals.
