AUBURN — An Auburn man was arrested Friday, charged with selling a pot-laced brownie to a 16-year-old girl.
Isaiah Pendexter, 19, of 80 Foster Road, was jailed Friday afternoon after police charged him with aggravated trafficking in marijuana. Police said Pendexter sold the brownie to the girl, who then shared it with another girl Friday morning at a school bus stop.
The second girl, 17 years old, became sick shortly after arriving at Edward Little High School, police said. She was examined by a school nurse who sent her to a hospital and notified police. The 17-year-old was treated and later released.
Auburn’s School Resource Officer Shawn Carll investigated and was able to trace the brownie back to Pendexter, police said. Investigators believe Pendexter made the brownie. Carll said he was able to confirm later in the day that no additional pot brownies had been brought into school.
Pendexter, a former Edward Little High School honors student, was booked at the Androscoggin County Jail and later released on $500 bail.
