Dragoon has studied with a number of well-known artists and works in a variety of mediums. She said “painting gives me a new way of looking at the world” and that she “finds magic in watercolor.” She has participated in many gallery and sidewalk shows. Her work has been chosen for decorating at several hospitals and educational institutions and is in private collections throughout the world.

Dragoon enjoys painting New England scenes and florals. She has an adventurous spirit and enjoys mountain climbing, especially Mt. Katahdin and the Knife’s Edge. She is an enthusiastic camper and alpine skier.

Dragoon’s latest advancement in her artistic development has been in the field of portraits in oil. She has been commissioned to do a number of private portraits and finds she enjoys the process and sees this area as becoming more important to her continued development.

An open house reception will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 4, and from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5. The public is invited and refreshments will be provided.

SugarWood Gallery is at 248 Broadway and is open from 10 a.m.-5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
