WATERVILLE — Kennebec Behavioral Health provider Robert Hamm, a resident of Mexico, has won the Maine Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers’ 2013 Social Worker of the Year Award.
Hamm, who provides school-based and outpatient services to KBH clients in Waterville and Skowhegan, is being honored for demonstrating his commitment to excellence in ethical behavior and social policy. He was nominated for the award by the Greater Bangor Area National Association for the Advancement of Colored People.
The Social Worker of the Year Award honors members of the National Association of Social Workers who exemplify the best of the profession’s values and achievements through specific accomplishments. The NASW will give Hamm the award at its convention Sept. 27 at Point Lookout in Northport.
Hamm received his master’s degree in social work from the University of Utah. He joined KBH in 2013.
