1939 – 2013

LIVERMORE — Janys M. Holt, 74, a resident of Maple Lane, Livermore, passed away peacefully at her home, following a brief battle with cancer, Friday, Oct. 4, surrounded by her loving family and friends.

She was born May 27, 1939 in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Kenneth and Dorothy (Packard) Mann. She was a 1957 graduate of Livermore Falls High School. On Sept. 11, 1960 at the First Baptist Church of Livermore Falls, she married her husband of 53 years, James Holt.

Jan worked throughout the years in the banking industry. She was a member of Maple Lane Golf Course in Livermore, Tri Town Lanes Women’s Bowling League and she enjoyed fishing and hunting, having proudly bagged a 905 pound moose with a 51-inch rack in 1999. She especially loved spending time with her family at their former camp at Matagamon and their camp on Round Pond.

She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be greatly missed by those that knew and loved her.

She is survived by her husband, Jim Holt; her son, Mark Holt and his wife, Lisa; her granddaughter, Mikala Holt; her sister, Marla Mann; and special friend and dog, “Mattie,” all of Livermore.

She was predeceased by her parents.
