RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of Jean-Paul Blouin was celebrated the morning of Tuesday, Oct. 1, at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Greg Dube was the celebrant.
Bernard Poirier was the altar server and Mark Belanger was the organist. Music selections were “Be Not Afraid,” “Wind Beneath My Wings,” “Ave Maria,” “Fly Like A Bird” and before the Mass, “The Impossible Dream” was played. The Old Testament was read by nephew, Roger Brodeur, and the New Testament by nephew, Fred Brodeur. Offertory gifts were presented by goddaughters, Lisa Conary and Anita Blanchette. Personal reflections were shared by his brother, Brother Francis Blouin and nephew, Paul Theriault.
Interment was at St. John Cemetery. Bearers were Alfred Brodeur, Roger Brodeur, Robert Theriault, Robert Blanchette, Shawn Conary and Paul Theriault. A reception served by the Daughters of Isabella was held in the parish hall. Services were under the care and guidance of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home, Rumford.
