LISBON —  After a scoreless first half, Mt. Abram had a trio of players register goals in the second frame and came away with a 3-0 win over Lisbon in an MVC matchup Tuesday.

Amos Withee, Bryson Walker and Colin Edwards all tallied for the Roadrunners (10-2), while Trevor Brackley and Gavin Hagaan added assists.

Tristin Dyar made six saves for Mt. Abram, while Nate Bergeron turned aside eight shots for the Greyhounds (5-5-2).

Hall-Dale 3, Telstar 0
BETHEL —  Konnor Longfellow netted a pair of goals Tuesday to propel Hall-Dale to a 3-0 late-season win over Telstar in MVC boys’ soccer action.

Nat Crocker also tallied for the Bulldogs to complete the scoring. Kellen True made 16 saves for the Rebels.

St. Dom’s 5, Mountain Valley 0

AUBURN —  Austin Roy led the St. Dom’s offense with a pair a goals, as the Saints cruised past Mountain. Valley 5-0 in an MVC boys’ soccer matchup.

Ryan Lutrzykowski, Justin Curtis and SJ Park all tallied a goal for the Saints (11-1-1), while keeper Ben Sawyer recorded three saves for the shutout. Dakota Jacques turned back 10 shots for the Falcons (2-10).

Edward Little 5, Lawrence 0

FAIRFIELD —  Michael Hammond found the back of the net twice in a one sided matchup, as Edward Little rolled past Lawrence 5-0 in KVAC boys’ soccer action.

Abdi Yonis, Seth Sterling and Landon Pope all registered goals for the Red Eddies (8-3-2), while Llewellyn Jensen made four saves for the shutout. 

Zachary Alley stopped 11 shots for the Bulldogs (2-10).

Lewiston 10, Skowhegan 0
SKOWHEGAN —  After jumping out to a 4-0 advantage in the first frame, Lewiston erupted for six more goals after the break to post a 10-0 rout over Skowhegan in boy’s soccer action Tuesday.

Issak Hussein and Noor Abdullahi led the Blue Devils (10-1-) with two goals apiece, while Abdibaari Hersi, Kwebena Akuffo-Anoff, Maslah Hassan, Abdulkarim Abdulle, Abdilahi Shaleh and Abdi Shariff-Hassan also tallied to complete the scoring. 

Austin Wing and Hassan split time in net for Lewiston, needing only one save between them to notch the shutout. Sam Edmonson and Anthony Paul combined to record nine saves for Skowhegan (0-12).

Erskine 2, Leavitt 0
TURNER —  Erskine put a pair of goals on the board during the first frame and shut down their opponents in the second to record a 2-0 win over Leavitt in a KVAC matchup Tuesday.

Trevor Hubbard and Phoenix Throckmorton tallied for the Eagles (10-2), while Joe York contributed with an assist. Throckmorton’s goal was a sizzling shot from 30 yards out that caught the Hornets (2-9-2) keeper off guard.

Ben Fullerton turned aside an impressive 16 shots for Leavitt.

Girls’ soccer

Skowhegan 1, Lewiston 1

LEWISTON — With the score 1-0 at half, the Blue Devils answered with an equalizer during the second half, as Lewiston and Skowhegan drew to a 1-1 tie in KVAC girls’ soccer action.

Maegan Mathon tallied the lone goal for the Blue Devils (0-9-2), while Kelsey St. Cyr made five saves in net. Alyssa Cobb was the only player to find the back of the net for the Indians (0-10-1), while Andrea Quirion paced Skowhegan with 11 saves. 

Oxford Hills 2, Mt. Blue 0

FARMINGTON — Mikayla Morin and Nicole Zuflet recorded a goal each for the Vikings, as they edged past Mt. Blue 2-0 in a varsity girls’ soccer matchup Tuesday.

Oxford Hills controlled the pace on offense, outshooting Mt. Blue 25-15, with goalkeeper Sam Bickford making seven saves for the Vikings (7-3-2). Thia Bridges had an active day in net for the Cougars (5-5-3), shutting down 15 shots.

Leavitt 4, Erskine 0

SOUTH CHINA — Shannon O’Malley led the Leavitt offense, netting two goals, as the Hornets topped Erskine 4-0 in a girls’ KVAC soccer contest. 

Lili Cousineau and MacKenzie Varney tallied a goal each on the day, while Cousineau added an assist for the Hornets (4-7-2). Mattie Lajoie made 11 saves in net for the Eagles (7-4-1).

Field hockey

Poland 4, Waynflete 0
PORTLAND —  Amanda Dube netted a pair of goals Tuesday to propel Poland to a 4-0 romp over Waynflete in a field hockey game

Emily Gibson gave the Knights a 1-0 advantage when she converted a pass from Ainsley Parent with 16:47 left in the first frame. Parent also tallied to complete the scoring.

Liz Callahan made six saves to preserve the shutout, while Kierra Macwhinnie turned aside 15 shots between the posts for Waynflete.

College field hockey

UMF 2, Thomas 1

FARMINGTON — Senior Kashley Weymouth scored with 6:22 remaining in regulation to lift the University of Maine at Farmington to a 2-1 North Atlantic Conference field hockey win over Thomas College Tuesday afternoon at Prescott Field.

Weymouth got hold of a loose ball in front of the goal, and slipped a shot around a crowd and just inside the left post for the game winner — her fourth game-winning goal of the season.

The Beavers (6-4) knotted the game at 1-1 just 3:49 into the second half, when sophomore Rebecca Young tapped home a ball that was pin-balling around a crowd of players in front of the goal.

Thomas’ Lauren Hachey put the Terriers up 1-0 with 1:54 remaining in the opening frame, coolly finishing a penalty corner shot off an insertion by Brittany Premo.

UMaine-Farmington outshot Thomas 28-8 over the course of the match, and did not allow the Terriers to take an attempt at goal during the second half. The Beavers also had a 17-9 advantage in penalty corner opportunities, including a 7-2 margin in the second half.

Curran Brierley registered three saves over 70 minutes in the Farmington goal to record the win, while Terrier goalie Sofia Sourgiadakis charted 12 saves in the Thomas cage.
