AUBURN — The Auburn-Lewiston YMCA announces registration for Session 2 of the 2013-14 Youth Swim Lesson Program for ages 6 months and up. The session will run from Oct. 28 to Dec. 21.

The YMCA offers swim lesson classes for children 6 months to 12 years old: Parent & Baby (6 months to 2 years) and Tiny Tot Classes (2-5 years), beginner and advanced classes; and Levels 1-5 for kids ages 6-12. For a complete list of days, times and description of the classes, visit the YMCA website at www.alymca.org.

The purpose of the swim lessons are to develop competency in swimming, along with confidence and endurance. A child is advanced to the next level only when he or she can proficiently and safely perform the skills within his or her level.
