Rein is an accomplished and versatile painter whose works “relish the qualities of paint itself,” she said. A resident of Oxford County, she exhibits widely and her work as been judged Best in Show at many exhibitions. She also accepts commissions for portraits, one of her specialties.

Rein described her approach, “Nature feeds my spirit which fuels my creativity. I do not see the subject of a painting as separate from the surrounds, but rather each as intermingling energies, colors, and lights, and I try to convey this in my art.”

In keeping with the gallery’s holiday gift theme for November, Gail will be exhibiting some recently completed plein air paintings along with her larger pieces.
