JAY — The Tri-Town Seniors met at noon Oct. 28 at St. Rose Parish Hall with 27 members present. The group had a meal of finger rolls, salads, vegetables and desserts.

Some members came dressed for the occasion. A vote was taken for the best costume and Nancy Eaton won. Members brought food and decorations to make the Halloween party a success.

The regular meeting was opened by President Fernande Doiron, with the weekly ceremonies followed by George Doiron singing two selections.

Doiron announced that Nancy Eaton accepted the position of hospitality chairwoman.

A Veteran’s Day celebration will be held for members of the group who have served in the armed forces.

The Christmas party will be held at noon Monday, Dec. 9, at LaFleur’s Restaurant. Sign-up will begin next week. Choice of meals are beef medallions, baked haddock and chicken Marcella. The group voted to have Louise Parker entertain at the party.

Doiron told the group that she and some friends visited the Margaret Chase Smith Library in Skowhegan, and she asked the group to consider going some day.

On Monday, Nov. 4, the group will play bingo, cards and games.

The 50/50 was won by Pat Couture. There was also six door prizes donated and won by those attending.
