FARMINGTON — Judith “Judy” Anne Wilbur, 75, died Friday, Nov. 1, at Franklin Memorial Hospital.
She was born in Lewiston on Dec. 17, 1937, the daughter of Edward and Alice Jones Scribner. She was educated in Stratton schools and attended the University of Maine at Farmington. She married John L. Wilbur in August 1958.
Judy loved cooking, quilting, reading and spending time with family and friends. She was known for her kindness and warm smile, and for nurturing everyone with her delicious meals and goodies.
She is survived by her husband of 55 years, John L. Wilbur; her sons, John K. Wilbur and Cindy, David R. Wilbur and Christopher T. Wilbur and Autumn; her grandchildren, Skyla Wilbur, Hannah Wilbur and Meadow Wilbur; and her great-granddaughter, Brinlee Gage, all of Farmington; her brother, Randall Scribner and wife, Sandra, of Stratton; her sisters, Katherine Poreda and husband, Donny, of Florida, Brenda Avery and husband, David, of Salem and Melissa Pare and husband, John, of Stratton; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents; her son, Kevin C. Wilbur; and her daughter in-law, Melanie Wilbur.
All who had the pleasure to know her will miss her dearly.
