JAY — Police searched Spruce Mountain high and middle schools lockers and parking lots for drugs Friday and found none, police Chief Larry White Sr. said.

The searches were requested by RSU 73 administrators, he said.

“No drugs were found, which is a positive outcome for the schools, students and police,” White said.

The search took about two hours.

Jay police Detective Richard Caton IV, Sgt. Troy Young and officer Derrick Doucette, and Troopers Adam Fillebrown and Eric Verhille conducted the search.
