Retired teachers’ fall meeting

FARMINGTON — The Franklin County Retired teachers will hold their final fall meeting at 11 a.m. Monday, Nov. 18, in the Culinary Arts area of the Foster Technology Center of the Mt. Blue Learning Campus.

Following lunch, members of the National Honor Society will conduct tours of the newly renovated facility for members. Lunch will be $10 and must be reserved through a member or at 778-4282.

Community breakfast Nov. 20

RANGELEY — The next Ladies/Community Breakfast will be from 7 to 9 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 20, at Keep’s Corner Cafe on Main Street.

Anyone with special dietary needs is asked to call in advance so they can try to accommodate your needs.

Elks scholarships are available

RUMFORD — Information for the 2014 Elks Most Valuable Student Scholarship and Elks Legacy Award has been distributed to the guidance offices at Mountain Valley High School, Dirigo High School, Telstar High School and Gould Academy. It is available for high school seniors who wish to further their education at a four-year college or university.

Home-schooled students whose legal residence is within the school districts mentioned are eligible to apply.
