1970 – 2013

BOWDOIN — “Larry” Lawrence Wayne Knoedler, 43, was taken from us far too early on Monday, Nov. 11, at his home, surrounded by his family.

Born on Aug. 20, 1970, he was raised in West Bowdoin by his loving mother. He attended Bowdoin Central School and Mt. Ararat High School, and was very proud of being on the Mt. Ararat High School wrestling team. Being a sternman on a lobster boat and running a gas station/mechanic shop for his cousin, Daryl, in Lancaster, Pa., were his two favorite jobs.

Those who knew Larry will remember him for his loyalty, determination and fearlessness. Larry dreamed big and would accomplish anything he set his mind to, no matter the odds. He was an extremely hard worker. He was an avid rifleman, loved being outdoors and always enjoyed gardening, an inherited skill from his grandmother, with whom he had a special bond. He also enjoyed riding his motorcycle whenever he could find the time.

Larry’s most treasured accomplishment in life was the relationship he built with his wife and best friend, Loni, and son, Trevor, who was his pride and joy.

Larry, you will be missed forever, but never forgotten. Your beautiful soul and spirit will live on through everything we do. We love you most.

He is survived by his wife, Loni; son, Trevor; mother, Beverly Durand; father, Chuck Durand; brother, Chuckie; aunt and uncle, Barbara and John Shaughnessy; and father and mother-in-law, Jack and Beth Gamache.
