Coming from as far as Berlin, Belfast, and Rome, turkeys have been “flying” in from all over the world. As part of the 46 Million Turkeys Project, artists and animal advocates have been creating turkey images as sculpture, paintings, drawings, collage, digital art and more and mailing them to Hallowell, Maine.

One does not have to be an artist to participate. Visit the 46millionturkeys.com website for complete guidelines. The public is welcome to stop by the gallery daily Monday, Nov. 25 to Saturday, Nov. 30 — including on Thanksgiving — to create turkeys (art supplies will be provided) and be part of the exhibit.

Many special events will take place at the Harlow Gallery during Thanksgiving week. For more information, visit harlowgallery.org or follow us on Facebook: www.facebook.com/theHarlow and on Twitter: @HarlowGallery.
