TOPSHAM — A pregnant Auburn woman has died of injuries from a head-on collision Sunday afternoon.
According to a news release from Sgt. Robert Ramsay of the Topsham Police Department, Salima Nuh, 37, of Auburn was traveling eastbound on Route 196 in Topsham at 3:32 p.m. when her vehicle was struck by a vehicle driven by Robert Robitaille, 52, of Lisbon.
Investigators said the investigation is not complete, but it appears Robitaille, who was traveling westbound, fell asleep at the wheel, drifting into the other lane and striking Nuh’s vehicle.
According to Ramsay, Robitaille was treated for minor injuries at Parkview hospital in Brunswick and released.
